6:30 = six thirty (informel) - half past six (formel)

6:45 = 6 forty five (inf.) - quarter to seven (form.)

2:07 = two o seven (inf.) - seven past two (form.)

1 o'clock = une heure ou treize heures

ne pas utiliser o'clock avec am ou pm : I wake up at 6 o'clock in the morning and I finish my work at 5 o'clock in the evening

ne pas utiliser 12 am ou 12 pm mais noon (midi) et midnight (minuit)

pour éviter la confusion utiliser 0:01 am ou pm jusqu'à 11:59 am ou pm

2 am* = deux heures

2 pm** = quatorze heures

*am : ante meridian = avant midi

** pm : post meridiem = après midi
